Nice to meet you, I’m Casey
I am a New York based psychologist, who has worked in various clinics, college counseling centers and hospitals around the city over the past decade. I have lived in various states over my lifetime, including during completion of my BA at the University of Texas at Austin, and my masters at the University of Oklahoma, where I first began my work as a psychotherapist. These experiences, and an ongoing focus on multiculturalism within my training and research, have expanded my perspective and worldview. I firmly believe that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to wellness and therapy, and therefore I approach my work with openness to flexibility and ongoing adaptation. My doctoral dissertation was inspired by my observation of vast differences in regional cultural norms, and how these influence the developmental process and intervention styles of social justice allies living in the Bible Belt region of the U.S., particularly LGBTQIA+ allies.
